Dinners for Eight

The Genesis Class will once again host Dinners for Eight the weekend of May 4, 5 and 6.   This is a great opportunity to fellowship with other Genesis class members who we don’t get to see often because they are serving in other capacities within the church on Sunday morning, or due to the limited time we have before class. 

The class will break up in to 6 to 10 people and meet in someone’s home for an evening meal and a time of sharing.  Once your host is selected, you will be contacted and asked which night is best for you.

We have specifically selected three different evenings in hopes of getting 100% participation so even if you are not able to attend class on Sundays, this is a great opportunity to reconnect.  We will be circulating a sign up sheet in Sunday School so be sure to sign up so your host can get in touch with you.

If you want to participate but cannot attend class, please feel free to contact me and I will ensure you are contacted by one of the hosts.

DETAILS: “CONSERVATIVE” COSTUMES (at least get a mask‼‼)
MENU (Pitch-In): Ham and Sausage Jambalaya; Shrimp Jambalaya; Crawfish Etouffee; French Bread and Butter;
Red Beans and Rice; Black Eyed Pea Salsa and Chips; Soft Drinks (Caffeine Free Iced Tea will be provided);
Desserts; King Cake

Genesis Class Party Progressive Dinner

Genesis Class Party – Saturday 5/1 – Progressive Dinner- 6:30 at the Linn’s House

Here’s the information regarding the progressive dinner coming-up Saturday evening 5/1 starting at 6:30 PM.

We are starting at Greg and Peggy Linn’s house for apetizers and salads and everyone should be there at 6:30 PM.

Anyone who has not signed-up for the party yet are encouraged to join us and very welcome. The cost is $3.00 per person to cover the cost of the main course. I think right now we can still use some appetizers or salads, or side dishes for the main course.

The theme for the party is “RACING INTO MAY” so we would like everyone to wear black and white to the party. We will also be having an Indy 500 trivia contest with a prize for the winner.

Dress: Casual……We will be outside weather permitting. So if it’s cool, bring a sweater and/or jacket.

What to bring: We request that you bring either a side, salad or dessert. Sorry, Carla won’t be cookin.
